My View from the Farm

We started our marriage with a little 1940s house we bought in 1990. Today, home is a small refurbished farm with nine chickens, five Nigerian Dwarf goats, four cats, a German Shepherd, and a garden I've started again.
Different season, same habit. Our seasons always change, it's preparing for them that matters. This week Tim and I are working on winterizing the critter barn for winter. It's made me think a lot about how we need to think ahead for what is coming before it happens. I'm trying to make those 10 degree days better for the animals and for me! Our money works the same way, when we're looking ahead the unexpected doesn't take us off guard nearly as hard.
